Child data
SolvPrep is a children's education product. This first-draft page explains how child profile and learning data is handled in a parent-controlled, age-appropriate way.
Parents or guardians create and manage child profiles. A child profile may include display name, year group, school name, target exam information, companion choice, learning progress and study-plan notes.
Display names are not treated as unique identities. Child usernames are separate login identifiers and are managed by the parent or guardian.
A child account is created by a parent or guardian. Parental consent is the basis for creating and operating a child's account and using child learning data to provide Victory 11+. [PLACEHOLDER: solicitor to confirm final lawful-basis wording].
Children do not need an email address. Child users log in with a username and password set by the parent and are directed to the student learning experience, not parent or admin areas.
SolvPrep is intended to apply high-privacy defaults for children. Child data is used to provide learning, progress, safety, account access and parent visibility, not to profile children for advertising.
We apply data minimisation by collecting the information needed to run the learning pathway, adapt practice, record progress and support account safety. [PLACEHOLDER: confirm final data-minimisation assessment before launch].
Leaderboards and motivational features should avoid exposing weak topics, readiness concerns or raw ability rankings publicly. Child-facing design should remain age-appropriate, calm and supportive.
The service is designed for children preparing for UK entrance exams, typically around ages 9-11, and is managed through parent accounts.

SolvPrep records answers, timing, confidence signals, review needs, readiness scores, mock results, streaks, XP, achievements, companion state and lesson activity so the platform can guide the next best step.
This data is intended to support learning and parent understanding. It should not be presented as a fixed label of a child's ability or used to shame children for weak areas.
When a parent closes an account, child access should stop and child learning data should be deleted or anonymised within [PLACEHOLDER: child data deletion/anonymisation period after closure], subject to limited legal, accounting, security or dispute-resolution retention needs.
Parents can request deletion or access to child data using the privacy contact in the Privacy Policy. We may need to verify the parent account before acting on child data requests.
